Every aspect of My Property Exchange is designed to be secure at all levels, to only allow access to the registered users on your account. We are completely committed to all aspects of security and work to make our hosted service as secure as possible using skilled technicians, and the latest hardware and software.
Application and Data Security
Users can access My Property Exchange accounts only with a valid username and password. Your login information is encrypted between the server and the browser. Transactions using your credit card use SSL security, which means all transmissions of your personal data are encrypted. If you choose to have My Property Exchange remember your login, your user session will be stored in an encrypted cookie on your computer, which does not reveal any login information.
The application architecture we use follows all best practices to ensure users only have access to informaton to which they are given permission. A security model is enforced at every level of our system to prevent a user of another account from accessing your information. My Property Exchange employees do not have direct access to data stored on the My Property Exchange servers, except where necessary for system maintenance and backups.
Server Security and Data Backups
Our website servers are hosted by a managed service which has 24-hour physical security and highly controlled server access, as well as redundant power and network systems. The servers have firewall protection and intrustion detection systems, and have a minimal number of access points. We follow all best practices in server security and maintenance to ensure no outside intruders gain access.
All customer data is stored on hard disks that have immediate redundnacy with multiple data paths. Regular backup of our data are performed and these are moved to an off-site secure location.
